Just because Paul is a more negative asset than Westbrook, that doesn’t mean that Westbrook and his contract are a positive asset. I don’t see how you can’t understand this.

The Thunder could’ve probably Westbrook for Wall and assets, does that automatically mean that Westbrook and his contract are a positive asset?

Well, no. Because John wall’s contract is for more years and more money than paul’s So that wouldn’t make any sense, now would it? Plus you know, the whole torn achilles thing and wall being clearly the worst player of the 3 even when healthy.

ETA; they got assets for him

That really should be the end of this discussion. You acknowledging they did the thing you didn’t think they’d be able to do.

because they traded him for one of the worst contracts in the league. One of the few worse than Westbrook’s.

Paul’s contract is worse if you’re a team trying to win now because. If you’re entering a rebuild, like we all assume the thunder are doing, it’s better because it’s for 1 less year. And he’s probably going to win you less games than Westbrook.

And you know which player’s contract is unamimously worse than paul and westbrook’s? John Wall.

Supposedly I met boom at the nola airport. He somehow knew it was me (?????). Gave specific details about what I was wearing (yes, I remember specifically what I was wearing that day), where I was flying to and what I was going to do there (my bachelor party). He correctly stated that I had an emergency dental procedure done that morning, which I did. Like I said. Way too many specific and correct details for him to have just guessed.

I have absolutely no memory of this. None.

Paul is damaged goods for a longterm plan... the move made sense... Doesn’t matter... no team is beating LBj, AD, and Kooze...

That team is about as ridiculous as Durant with the warriors.

But I remember everything else from that day. I remember the procedure, I remember being driven to the airport, remember walking through the terminal and remember the flight. Remember what I did when I arrived at my destination. Everything.

Except the boom meeting. Probably my single biggest regret in life to this point.

*sees random guy in a Harden jersey at the airport*

“Hi, I’m JohnnyKilroy from the internet. Do you like to message board?”

*random Harden fan slowly turns around and smirks*

“Why yes. As a matter of fact, I do. I’m a big fan of the league as a whole, bubba”

And it’s impossible to find because it was some random arse thread too. I don’t even remember how it got to that point of him describing you to you.

when they are ignoring the fact that they also got a worse player/contract in the deal. It’s just disingenuous.

Again, getting a worse player on a shorter contract is a complete win for a rebuilding team.

What are you not getting here?

You’re looking at the trade in a vacuum between the two teams, I’m looking at it from the perspective of the entire NBA.
