Once again, the only people who thought Kuzma was the real hold up were lakers fans.

VA was that dude posting in every thread in pels talk about how the best offer NOLA was gonna get was going to be some shite like Ball+the 4th or Ball+Kuzma+Hart w/ no picks and now he's been pumping the shite out of kuzma ever since the real deal dropped.

Of the top 4 pieces the Lakers had, Kuzma is easily the 4th best.
I find that very difficult to believe.

Probably Randle if I had to choose. I wouldn’t want Boogie on my team at all.
yahtzee.
1.Boogie has a too big idea of his passing. Throws the ball away.
2. Cant defend pick and roll.

Vs Ball Ingram and #4? I don’t think that’s a stretch at all
If I were ranking those 4 Kuzma is easily fourth for me

His value is wayyyyyy lower than Ingram, Ball or the #4 overall pick.

You really think Kuzma is a better piece going forward than Ball, Ingram or 4th overall pick?
MAYBE he's more valuable than the 4th to the Lakers, due to being full on win now, but I'd put money down if you polled NBA GMS, they'd rate Kuzma 4th best in that group more often than not.
He plays no defense. He doesn't rebound. He's a poor shooter.

Really? How would you rank Ingram, Ball, Kuz, and the 2019 4th pick as assets?
ETA: as I said earlier in the thread, I can buy the argument that to the Lakers, Kuzma was the most valuable, because their plan was to get 3 max players and they couldn't do that with Ingram or Ball on the roster, and the 4th pick isn't as helpful as a ready made NBA player. But, as someone else stated, if you polled the other 29 GMs I think you'd be hard pressed to find many that would have Kuzma as 1st or 2nd value, some may value him over the 4th pick though.

Hyperbole.
His value when considering his contract is a wash IMO with Ball and Ingram. Not saying he's the better player, just ranking the asset. I just think it's disingenuous to act like there is come clear cut worst asset of those 4.

That is literally insane.

Kuzma has less value than Ingram? Really?
Any "value" that Ingram has over Kuzma is rooted in potential that people think he has, not anything he's actually done in his career. He's been a massive disappointment.

So you're saying that if Ingram and Kuzma were on the trade block right this minute, Kuzma would net an equal or better return?
lmao

Eh, Ingram has given us two legit runs of play in his career (before he got hurt both times) that I think give a pretty nice picture of what he can be in the NBA. Maybe that's betting on potential, but I'd rather do that when I'm at the stage that the pels are
Posted on 7/2/19 at 9:07 pm to JohnnyKilroy
I'm saying that ingram is massively overrated for some reason. I wonder if people have been paying attention to his career.

Anyone rating Kuzma at or above Ball and Ingram going forward is massively overrating Kuzma.

1. You're off your rocker if you think Ingram has been a "massive disappointment"
2. Doesn't value incorporate potential?
