I'm saying when you compare where both were drafted, there is not the gap in performance that you would expect.

They're much closer than they should be. Ingram has massively underperformed his draft slot and Kuzma has overperformed.

Yikes. The Pels aren’t trying to win big right now and aren’t up against the tax or something. Who gives a shite about the contract and one extra year of having cheap Kuzma. He is what he is and there is very little ceiling left. I don’t understand how someone can watch both Kuzma and Ingram the last two years and think they’re of equal value

So you're saying that if Ingram and Kuzma were on the trade block right this minute, Kuzma would net an equal or better return?

lmao
WTF is going in here right now.

You said it perfectly. The idea that Kuz would command more on a trade is absurd.

I'm just glad to see Pels fans going hard for Ball and Ingram right now.

His value when considering his contract is a wash IMO with Ball and Ingram.
The contract difference from 2 mil to 7-8 mil is only valuable to certain teams. In an offseason with as much cap space available as we've had this offseason, I'd say it's pretty negligible.

Not relevant to what we're discussing.

They can be that and still not very close in value...because they aren't.

Watching Pels fans defend Ball and Ingram after shitting all over them for four months has me snickering

Quit playing, you know darn well Kuz is clearly the 4th best asset in this discussion.

That goes for you as well, you know darn well it's correct, but you just won't say it because it's Pels fans saying it.

I still don't know what Ingram's value over Kuzma is other than perception and potential.

It's definitely not performance.

I literally made that post on the last page. I'm just saying that it's nice not having to storm the beaches of Normandy every night for these guys like I used to

Ingram's stretch right before the blood clot was a higher level than anything Tatum's accomplished. Whether he can sustain it for more than 7 games is still to be seen.

You do realize he was better than Kuz last season, right?

And he was infinitely better than Kuz over the 2nd half of the season, you realize that also, right?

Pels fans don't think in unison, we don't all hold the same opinions. I wasn't "pro-lakers trade" during the season, because it didn't make sense to do it then. But, this offseason, there were some of us that were good with a Lakers trade.

he sustained it for like 12 or 15. He was going off in real ways

I mean didn't Pels fans think all of the Lakers players sucked? They only became good when they were traded.

No, it was in relation to Jayson Tatum. Neither guy is close to the projection of Tatum. Still believe that. BI will be a FA next season and I don't know how I feel about investing big money into him. Lonzo is a gifted passer & defender who shoots worse from the FT line than Shaq.

None of my opinions about those 2 changed after the trade. I'm still not super excited about Lonzo nor BI, but they are on my team so Ill cheer & hope they do well, but I don't have very high expectations. The real win was the ability to control the Lakers draft for the next 7 years.
