Wasn't this the "dream pairing" with Minny everyone was talking about? Only reason I brought them up.

@TheHoopCentral

According to @JakeLFischer, the Bulls are interested in trading Kris Dunn.

Because I refuse to believe that people are that stupid (even though I'm wrong and continually underestimate the stupidity of people). More competitive teams is interesting. Arguing against competition just seems counter-intuitive to me.
FWIW, I agree with your personal view.

I'm just telling you what is so...or what has been so in the past, and there is quite literally no reason to think it'll change going forward.

I saw someone say this last night. They theorized this is all a long play to land Teague/RoCo. Wolves get their guy. Golden State gets depth.

Don’t they have to wait like 6 months to move a max deal?

is GS prohibited from trading dlo for a certain time period, or can they immediately flip him?

I think it's 60 days?

Definitely not confident in that thought though.

I agree that warriors trade him. Might not be til next season when Klay is at full strength but I don’t see him on that team long term

Except why would Russell provide this random favor for a team that he has no connection with in the Warriors?

waiting probably favors Golden State anyway. I'd imagine without Klay that D'Lo will have an opportunity to increase his stock. and, he's not a bad fit without Klay present. Seems like it could benefit Golden State for the first half of the season and give them some scoring they are going to desperately need.

Generally a team only has to keep a player for three months after signing a contract or December 151 of that season, whichever is later. This does not apply to draft picks, who can be traded 30 days after signing (even if signed using cap room in a later season -- see question number 49). For sign-and-trade transactions, the initial trade which completes the sign-and-trade obviously is allowed, even though it occurs right after the player is signed. The trade restriction in a sign-and-trade applies to the first subsequent trade.

This is what I found

So they couldn’t move him until December 15th

I think it's at the deadline. Russell literally is anti-everything the Warriors are about. He was 80 P&Rs shy of the whole Warriors team combined.

This might have been the biggest offer Russell got.

Yeah that’s where it doesn’t make sense to me. He had max offers elsewhere. Doubt he signed up for them if their plan was to flip. And I’m sure he would’ve gotten word of that

Saw a tweet saying Russell was waiting on the Lakers but then the GS offer came and he couldn't pass up the money.
