NBA is just a terrible sport unless you have national rivalries and likeable stars.
Since the NBA now has neither, they've turned the sport into an exhibition...3 point shooting contest. Nobody cares who wins. Seriously does anybody care who wins the Finals? In the last 10 years.

These playoffs have felt like a war of attrition. There were some compelling matchups and exciting games earlier but now it's lots of injuries and exhaustion and tired, tepid crowds. It's feels like a marathon, not a sprint. And we all know nobody watches olympic marathoners drag themselves across the finish line while everyone is glued to the set to watch the sprinting events.
