People need to make up their minds. I thought these finals would kill it since there's no Lebron.
That was always a super warped perspective.
Then this piece of reality hits them in the face.
Now the spin game begins (i.e. “I’ve haven’t watched the NBA because muh politics).

The NBA isn't going broke, no matter how much you retards want it to.
Just wait until there is a normal offseason and there are no restrictions on all arenas with attendance. The go woke go broke narrative has always been due to be a flop.

The beat 3 60 win teams with MVPs in their prime to even make the finals. All 3 teams they beat in the west would very likely sweep either of these finalists.
Rd 1 Utah - beat prime Malone and Stockton
Rd 2 PHX - beat prime Barkley
Rd 3 SAS - beat MVP Robinson

Nah, the poliboard already bankrupted Nike and clearly the NBA is next in line.

suggests that last year had worse ratings, and Lebron was on one of the teams and there were captive audiences

When will that be 2024?

Whoever wins will be the weakest title winning team maybe of all time.
Understand we’re not dealing with world beaters but both of these teams definitely deserve to be there

Go woke get broke. Silver's plan to take "Black Live's Matter's" off the court and requiring players to stand for the anthem didn't work
I don’t take political analysis from idiots who don’t know how to use apostrophes.

As a Pels fan, it’s interesting to watch Jrue Holiday face off against Chris Paul

That has next to nothing to do with game 1’s ratings
I hate that you are making me side with the woke morons on this website but you geniuses still crying about the nba going broke just look stupid at this point

Exactly it’s a international game with far reaching financial tentacles.

It’s the teams. Whoever wins will be the weakest title winning team maybe of all time.. admittedly i am not the best historian. Certainly the worst I can remember. This just doesn’t feel like an nba finals. The level of play is not up to par.
I agree man. CP3 and Devin Booker just doesn't have the same draw as the best player in the NBA James Hardwn.

They would have been low even if it was Clippers/Bucks. A big market wasn't going to save them.
The only thing the casual fan cares about is LeBron James or Kevin Durant. Those are the ONLY two superstars that could have kept the ratings respectable.

Not really. MIL needed BKN to have two all nba players hurt. Otherwise it woulda been a 4 or 5 gamer.
PHX has a whole laundry list of lucky breaks. I am happy for Chris, but at the same time, gotta call it like it is. They very likely lose v their opponent that they played in each rd if the opponent wasn’t missing their best player/second best.

Defending a sport because you are a fan of it is way less loser shite than stalking a sport’s ratings because you want everyone to know about how much you don’t like it and don’t watch it.

The NBA is fine. It doesn't need excuses.
