The heat are peaking later this season than they did last season. They peaked during the 27 game win streak last year.

Wade is healthier now and during the 27 game win streak than he was late in the playoffs last season. That's why I'm not quite convinced the Heat are worse this season, and more specifically, right now compared to San Antonio 2013/2014.

I will be pulling for the Spurs as I am not a LeBron fan. But he is the best player in the world and has led the Heat to back to back titles. I can't ignore his greatness.

Hoping for close games and a great series. Heat in 7.

Yea the Heat peaked too soon last year, they def weren't playing their best ball in the playoffs.

G1:SA
G2:MIA
G3:SA
G4:MIA
G5:SA
G6:MIA
G7:SA

Game 1 will be interesting. Its always the 'feel out' game. I think each team splits at home for games 1-4. Then the home team wins-out after that.

SAS in 7.

People saying the Heat are worse just aren't watching.

Some of the role players have declined and they did lose Mike Miller, but some have gotten better as well.

Lebron = Same

D Wade = Better/Healthier

C Bosh = Better

Mario Chalmers = Better

Norris Cole = Better

Chris Anderson = Better

Mike Miller = Gone

Shane Battier = Worse

Ray Allen = Slightly worse

Haslem = Doesn't really play anymore, so I guess worse? Haven't seen much

Lewis = New guy who was bad early but was pretty good vs. Pacers. Will probably get to start.

Overall, the majority of their contributors are better or the same, but a few of the role players did have a drop off.

Heat > Spurs

Lebron gonna have a game thats more like 22\12\6 tonight I believe. Pop is usually really good with throwing him off, especially in the 1st game of a series.

If Heat win tonight, spurs fricked.

They weren't. Wade averaged 14 ppg and 12 ppg in the two series before the finals. Bosh also wasn't playing well

Chalmers is a push, as is Bosh. Wade is better offensively but worse defensively I think.

I think overall the Heat bench is significantly worse than it was last year overall, and SA's is better. I think it's a huge discrepancy and that is the difference in why I have the series not going very long

The Heat better hope they don't have to start Lewis in this series.

I'm cool with Chalmers being a push

Bosh has definitely improved his 3 pt shooting which will help drawing Tiago Splitter\Duncan out of the paint and onto the perimeter.

D Wade hasn't declined defensively since last year. He hasn't got better or worse, in a sense. He is just healthy. Which in return, allows him to be better defensively and offensively.

If the Spurs start Tiago and Duncan, I guarantee Bosh and Lewis will start together to open up the lane for D Wade and Lebron.

If Lewis get's going from 3 like he did in the last few games against the pacers, I think this strategy will cause Pop to sit Splitter the majority of the series and start Diaw instead, or at least give him increased minutes and make them play small ball.

And the heat want this, because they are the best at small ball.

You forgot the best player ever is suiting up for the Heat. It will be a good and competitive series. No way this thing ends in 5

I don't see how this series could possibly top last years.

Heat are far more confident this year vs SA then they were last year. I think they lose game 1, steal 2, win 3-4 in Miami, lose game 5 then win the championship in Miami. It's their classic pattern. Heat in 6.

I am picking the Heat in 6. I hope I am wrong though. Pulling for Pop and the Spurs.
