This has to be the worst draft in years. Literally zero energy or drama whatsoever tonight

Did Labaron Philon also bring a murder weapon to someone? Pull his dick out for the team psychiatrist? How is he still on the board?

He was long predicted to go to Miami at 13 ever since the draft order was set. Well the Giannis trade screwed that up for him so who knows now where he falls

Sort of wanted Cenac but from a timeline standpoint this makes sense.

You would never know it's an NBA draft until a prospect was traded while he walks to podium.

Watching Cenac is painful. Kid had no business coming out.

Eta- thank goodness. Was feeling sorry for the kid.

The NBA has to redo their draft format. The only one I really watched was the Zion draft, was pumped to see this once in a lifetime player enter the league, and I couldn't keep up. Picks were coming in so fast, kids were taking pictures with hats from teams they were not even going to because a trade happened on the way to the stage.

Not something I'll watch again until they fix it.

At least they didn't pick someone during a Taco Bell commercial

The production for that draft was really well done fwiw. A little edgy trying to cater to a younger generation iirc but I liked it.

Agree with your points about trading. It’s ridiculous this is still a thing in 2026.

Thomas should've listened to Cal and came back.

He could have returned and improved his defense.

Shams Charania
@ShamsCharania

Los Angeles Lakers star Austin Reaves intends to sign a four-year, $185 million maximum contract to return to the franchise, with a player option for the final season in 2029-30, sources tell ESPN. Reaves declined his $14.9M player option for the new max deal.

Shams:

Memphis, like the Knicks at No. 31, is actively fielding offers to move the No. 32 pick for Night 2 of the draft, per sources. So picks 31 and 32 are up for auction in trades around the NBA -- with future assets being proposed.
