The only reason it could work in the NBA is because they’re only 15 players on a NBA team. The team would need older mature players to manage the locker room. I think Becky Hammon still should get a chance at coaching a NBA team. She couldn’t be any worse than Tyronn Lue was.

That persons right. It’s not an area that needs to be integrated. Putting women in certain environments is asking for trouble. All of this just inevitably sets up the “conversation” of toxic masculinity in the world of professional sports.

For all that has been said down through the ages about how difficult it is for men to understand women, modern society demonstrates on an almost daily basis that women understand just as little about men. The difference is that men readily admit they don't understand women. Women are 100% convinced they understand men.

If I was a star NBA player, I don’t think I could take seriously a woman trying to tell me how to play basketball.
Other male coaches either have already played in the NBA or have a track record of success as a coach.

the only way you could possibly have a woman with any success in the NBA is with a Tim Duncan type anchor. Would have to have a mega star who is mature and grounded and commands the respect of all the team.

I'm curious as to see what would happen when an NBA player gets in a female coach's face (like they often do with male coaches) in a threatening manner because they didn't like a call or something else. Many of these guys don't have high functioning reasoning skill sets and only know how to threaten with violence.
It is not a good idea and would probably lead to the destruction of the NBA via bad press when a player or players beats the crap out of a female coach because of the roid rage that is in their bodies.
