You got downvoted for this the same reason I did when I said I don't use it for a similar reason. This board is wild man.
“Word police man! I hate them!”
Then they downvote someone for simply stating why they personally choose not to use certain words

Didn’t know that word was illegal. Good lord.

The best part is he threatened to fight another driver, but they get mad at him for a word.

He got a shot in at Harvick. That's great. He gets points in my book for that.
I used to hate his guts but I have come to really like and enjoy that motherfricker. Guy tells it like it is and is a breath of fresh air, and a really good dude on top of it. He is the most naturally talented driver the sport has had since the late Tim Richmond and its a shame he missed the cut to battle for the title.
He shouldn't of called Brad retarded, but for NASCAR to make him undergo sensitivity training is ridiculous. He apologized, he knows he messed up. That should be the end of it.
I have a first cousin who's 6 days younger than me who's mentally handicapped. He has the mind of a 7 yr.old. My 6 year old daughter is more developed mentally than he is. I don't like the word being used as a derogatory slur due to him. But the context that Rowdy used it wasn't derogatory.

Kyle Larson dropped an N-bomb and is still out here winning races.
Kyle missed a year b/c of it. But it also turned out to be a blessing in disguise as Ganassi dumped him and he signed w/Slick Rick. The best thing that ever happened to him.
Bad analogy.

There’s way worse that gets said and done. This is more PC for you left wingers.

He also had to undergo sensitivity training himself. Why do people bring up these examples without bothering to check if they actually prove the point they’re trying to make?

Time for another pre-race march down the pitlane

I love how you can't even google "retard" without pages and pages of propaganda presented at you.

Let me tell you something. My daughter has severe cerebral palsy. And you know what?
She doesn’t give a frick about the word “retard” and nor do I.

Yet you care enough about it to post in a NASCAR thread?

you have to be retarded to say something like that today

In general I don't use any words that the PC police have problems with, but for some reason I find retard and retarded to be fun, useful words.
I don't use them at work, but I won't hesitate to use them in front of (most of) my friends.
I have an autistic nephew. Although it can be difficult to engage with him, he's very intelligent and learned to read at a young age, and AFAIK he's never been bullied by other kids, so I don't associate retard with autistic. (I realize "autistic" covers a wide range, and many can't speak and have severe issues, I'm just relating my own experience.)

Retarded means slow or limited in mental development
Who decided you need to be trained to be a pussy when you use this word? Oh yeah, liberal pussies. Let’s train Kyle to become one of them.
