Pardon my ignorance as this is a genuine question; but wouldn’t a sinus infection progressing enough to be pneumatic be noticed pretty quickly? Seems like a big difference from sinus infection to pneumonia. Or quick enough to not go septic? Just doesn’t seem like it would be something that would progress that fast?

If he had any kind of liver problems people can die quickly from bleeding Esophageal varices. It starts as coughing up blood or finding blood in your stomach. If you bleed enough you can go into shock if it’s not treated quick enough.
