Probably going to watch the 2nd half of the race but the best racing now is in sports cars/endurance racing and Indy.

Well, its daytona 500 day. Hopefully something magical happened to the cars and we actually see racing today.

Chase and Hamlin were saying it was the drivers yesterday not the cars.

I'm hoping that they have some more exciting racing than yesterday at the xfinity race. The trucks were awesome. they said people were complaining about the trucks because of the cautions, but I had no complaints. The trucks put on a show IMO.

What I dont understand is when the cars get single file on the top in, let's say, a 15 car line: Why are spots 10 through 15 committed to the top? If all 5 of those dropped to the bottom and started to form a line, it seems like it would undermine the top line integrity/power and give those guys a chance to move up.

I'm definitely excited for the race today, excited for the season, and am excited about the changes to the car (although i admit I didnt watch the All Star race last season). The races like Texas, Charlotte, and Kansas need a jolt of energy for sure so maybe these changes will provide it. Personally, I prefer Keslowski's recommendations for changes of reducing downforce to force drivers to lift, but I understand why Nascar would prefer the changes they made (to allow the weaker drivers to succeed). Either way, the changes should definitely provide for more exciting racing over the season and I'm on board.

To see there is a problem, all you have to do is look at all the empty holes in the stands

So what’s the problem with CFB, NFL, CBB, NBA, and MLB?

Every sport is having attendance issues due to technology and pricing. As is every form of racing.

Well, today we will find out if NASCAR can successfully make its Super Bowl more boring than the actual Super Bowl was.

I was shocked to hear them say that the 500 was sold out.

Fox analysts already trying to pump up how “exciting” this race will be.

ITS GOING TO BE SO WILD, RESTRICTOR PLATE RACES ARE CRAZY. THE LAST THREE YEARS THE GUY LEADING AT THE WHITE FLAG DIDNT WIN. THIS WILL BE SO INTENSE. EVERYONE HAS A CHANCE TO WIN.

They took out a bunch of seats a few years ago didn't they?

Yeah took all the backstretch seating out. Same thing at Dega as well as a few other tracks. Still has not been a sellout until now that I can remember, but I could be mistaken. Spring race last year at Dega had bunch of empty seats.

These Busch cans made from Kevin Harvick’s car do not look pleasant to drink beer out of.

I went to Dega in 2015 and swore off going to restrictor place tracks. Boring single file racing sucks.
