No on the first question and absolutely yes on the second.
Attendance was never a problem for the Thrashers. It was ownership. The Atlanta Spirit Group were buffoons. The Coyotes(Arizona) were in worse shape than the Thrashers but b/c Gretzky was the owner Betteman spared them and moved the Thrashers to Manitoba.
Gary Betteman is a feckless, dickless, spineless coward who has the leadership skills of a functioning 'tard. He couldn't lead a bachelor party to a strip club.

Atlanta Thrashers.
