There is no such thing as a "lateral," a pass is either forward or backward.

I agree. Take the play or the penalty. Not both.

Offense fumbles out of end zone, get ball at 15 and it’s same down. If it was fumbled on 3rd down, 3rd and goal at the 15. If it was first down, then 1st and goal at 15.

Taking every other discussion of fumbles out of the endzone out of the equation, what possible logic exists in a replay of down? You're rewarding a team with an extra play.

College FB adopts NFL OT rule. The other caveat to this is that if the first team scores a TD, they automatically receive an additional point (7 total) 2nd team with the ball has to go for the win with 2 point conversion. If first team kicks FG, 2nd team must go for TD. If no teams score, then sudden death. No ties unless 10 minutes is up during regular season.

Fumble out of the back of the end zone is a turnover and touch back for other team.

For youth sports: dropped 3rd strike

Get rid of the "gather step" bullshite in the NBA.

Create a zone around the goal where, if the goalie skates out of it with the puck, he can be hit.

If a football player gets his helmet removed "manually" by another player, he should not have to sit out a play.

And as Jack Nicklaus once said, "If a divot isn't 'ground under repair', I don't know what is."

Make them kick for it… just giving them that point would be stupid

On any play more than 15 yards, my defense will be tackling via the facemask.

And if your QB completes a pass more than 15 yards down field, there will be a few late hits on those plays.

Personal fouls should be exempted from my proposal I think.

And this happens more in the NFL. Illegal contact is an extra five yards after the play, that's a joke if the play results in more than 5 yards.

Start football in October, it's meant to be played in cool weather not when it's 100+

I hate targeting as it is now and think it should be egregious to be called and just be a 15 yard penalty.

I think “half the distance” penalties should be applied equally to offense and defense. If holding on the defense from the 5 only moves the offense up 2.5 yards. Holding on the offense from the 5 should only move them back 2.5 yards.

Ineligible man downfield is the most ridiculous, unnecessary rule. Who cares if the lineman is further than 1 yard from the LOS when the pass is thrown?

Dumbest rule ever.

2nd place might be any infraction that was so far away from the play that it couldn’t have possibly had any effect on the outcome.

Being able to call for a review of pass interference, even if you don't have a time out. one per game.

That's kinda the rule now - if it comes off as the result of a foul, the player can stay in the game.

Both feet and possession = catch. The ground doesn't matter.

That's basically what it is now.

The rule clearly states the receiver must continue the catch through the ground. It's stupid and should be eliminated particularly when the ground is in the endzone or out of bounds. In every other case where those 2 boundaries are in play, the play is over as soon as they are crossed. But not catches. It's asinine. WR catches ball in air and gets both(or one for college) feet down in the endzone the play should be over and a touchdown. That is absolutely not the case in all circumstances.

IF it's called. I've seen it happen too many times when there isn't a penalty called, but it's pretty damn obvious how the helmet came off.

A team could just run a play and fumble it out the ez til they scored. Plus you must lose a down at the very least. A lot of three rules exist for specific reasons like this to keep the game in check.
