Per capita Nola has as much variety if not more.

they probably both have really good food and there probably isnt much of a discernible difference so long as your food preferences arent NOLA style.

I think New Orleans is a better game day experience by far. You just cannot overstate how great it is to be within walking distance of really fun stuff for both before and after the game.
That being said, I could see how someone would enjoy a trip to Miami more. The weather is warmer, which is great this time of year. And the beaches and scenery are absolutely beautiful.
I like the food much more in New Orleans, and I also think the bars are more fun. Miami bars are probably cooler, but they are also more expensive and just a completely different scene. I'm not much of a "club" guy, so they weren't my cup of tea.
I've been to two Sugar Bowls in New Orleans. Never been to a bowl game in Miami, but I have been down there three times.

You would need to come to a championship game here to really make a fair comparison. Not just a random trip. The event that was put on yesterday afternoon and last night was an impressive one.

I believe it. 25 years of pent up demand for ND.

Fan experience in SOBE. But in particular, the beach concert and set up was great. Being on the beach was a big part of it. And then the Clevelander put on a heck of a party afterwards. Some fine arse latin women dancers on the roof and bar tops with spotlights on them and one of the DJs about 3 stories up on some ledge spinning with all the lights, etc.
It was just a cool block/street/beach/club party all afternoon and night IMO. One of the best I have seen on SOBE honestly.

who played the concert?

They had several stages and acts.
The last one, "headliner" was Flo-Rida (or however he spells it).

The things that sets it apart are a)Nola much cheaper city
This is what it comes down to. If money isn't a factor, Miami blows Nola out of the water. However, for college students trying to attend these games, it is extremely difficult to beat Nola and everything it offers. You can't beat how convenient Nola is.

i was in miami for the 08 NC OU vs UF.
i've been in NOLA for all the LSU nc's. I enjoy NOLA a lot more.
everything seems too spread out in MIA.
i stayed in south beach which was ok, but it just wasn't as fun as NOLA. imo.
seems like all the fan bases were split btwn south beach, downtown, and lauderdale.

I was in miami for the SB, I thought it was pretty shitty. waiting for a cab for 2 hours after the game and having to beg a cab to let me and the wife jump in and of course paying him like $100 bucks sucked. After that fiasco I didnt even feel like going search for a bar.

My friends and I had a bus drive us around, definitely the way to go.

That stadium is close to NOTHING! It really is a pain in the arse...unless you are at El Palacio Sports Hotel. The color on the outside of it, speaks for itself

Thats what im saying. If you drink at the game and want to go out in South Beach and celebrate a win, well, you basically cant do it in a respectable time manner.. Especially if you are leaving town the next day; you can't really do it at all. By the time the game is over, and you're back in SOBE, its mindnight-1am
