Did y'all even come for the game last year? What did y'all do that makes you form this opinion?

South Beach is nice but the setup of Miami is fricking horrendous. It offers zero advantage over New Orleans aside from "beachy".

Fountainebleau Hotel on South Beach is one of the best resorts in the world. Scenery's unreal...feel like you are in the middle of MTV Spring Break any day of the week.

As far as Nawlins goes, I can only take Bourbon for 1 or 2 nights but you definitely can't beat the commute from the bars to the dome.

The best venue for a BCS game used to be in Tempe. ASU's a great campus and Sun Devil Stadium is a sweet venue. I understand why they moved it to Glendale but in doing so they gave up the atmosphere.

Is that really true?

I'd imagine a slightly more affluent fanbase (ala Texas, Notre Dame) would travel the best for football if programs were all on the upper tier.

I do acknowledge Bama fans are crazy as hell and will go anywhere to watch a game.

We shall see tonight, ND hasn't been in the title game in 24 years, that has something to do with them having a lot of fans down there.

This point can't be overstated. Notre Dame already has one of if not THE biggest fanbases in the country. Throw in the fact that it's been 24 years since they've been in this position and you get this kind of crowd. The Alabama fans were the same way in 2009 with so many fans without tickets going out to Pasadena. It had been 17 years since Bama was in the title game that year hence the massive Bama contigent in Pasadena in 2009.

I was at the Clevlander on Saturday night and shore club /fountainbleu hotel last night.

There was a big concert on the beach last night.

I think it is just the whole setting. We are about to head north for the stadium. The stadium location sucks but he last three days have been great. So glad I got in town on Friday.

The venue for the fan experience is SOBE is pretty unbeatable. You have all the hotels, resturants, bars, and clubs all on ocean drive. You are talking every kind of variety. From the common type bar of Wet Willies, to five star type dining and ambiance of Ocean's 10 (and their ridiculus $22 plain vodka/tonics), to the crazy touristy type bars with live entertainment like Mango's, to world famous iconic places like the Clevelander. And it is all right there to bounce from place to place. NOLA has that kind of setup, but in no way matches SOBE.

Then, what really sets it apart is the 70-80 degree weather and beach right there as well. The party the Clevlander put on last night was a great one. No one is going to match that poolside tropical party except maybe a club in LA or Vegas. Then the beach concerts and entertainment were absolutely top notch with probably 80k people just on the beach, maybe more. And it wasn't even overly crowded like Bourbon gets. Between the beach and all the SOBE bars, resturants and clubs, I would estimate 120-140k people late yesterday into last night there. I've been to NOLA during big events and Mardi Gras and it is so fricking jammed up it becomes miserable.

Nola can't hold Miami's jock strap

Miami has better clubs, views/scenery, food (yes food), women, beaches, etc etc etc
