Somewhat relevant???????

Maybe relevant at Ponchatoula's......but nowhere else in the lower 48. Now the Lady Techsters of the 80's....they were relevant. But Kim Mulky is long gone.

Just like every fanbase, the small vocal minority is the most visible. I assure, most Tech fans and/or graduates are not as delusional as the idiots on BBB or some of the posters here.

I realize this, but for the number of La Tech fans on the MSB, y'all sure are consistently delusional. Especially msutiger..he's in full meltdown mode.

The larger point is it was a slap in the face to Shreveport back then and now you have delivered a slap also to a market that I read all the time you wish you had more fans in.

One way to get more fans is play the damn game, have the North La championship game if you will, and generate some interest.

Instead the liberty bowl was more important then those fans you always claim to want.

One of the other ways that this hurts Tech is that now they don't get the extra practices to help them get a head start on next season.

Bowls are more valuable than just the game itself. They basically add an entire second session of spring practice.

Right...why accept a conference slot in a crappy CUSA conference? ULM deserves something better than that....ULM is trying to better themselves on a national level...so settling for some less than the best conference does them no good......see the irrationality in that position???

Not sure if serious?!? Please clarify...since ULM has been relevant for a year, are you saying they deserve much more than USA...Big East, SEC? Talk about delusional

is CUSA really that big of a step up from the WAC ?

CUSA is going to still exist in two seasons, so "yes".

Winning a bowl game wouldn't make you feel more relevant?

against ULM in Shreveport? not on a more national scale, no

That's more relevant on the national scale than sitting at home.

I laugh at that statement not bc it's necessarily wrong but by that logic every coach in the country save 2 is to blame for their team not being in a better bowl.

Yeah it's true but it ignores the specific circumstances that the team was in and the choice the AD made.

they do that because they know their coach is leaving, and thus he's about to become an enemy.

You're correct. ULM will probably never join the WAC. They aren't stupid enough to incur the expenses involved with going out there.

However, when Tulsa, Rice, and/or USM leave CUSA, they'll gladly join that league.

I saw that the AD is now blaming the Liberty Bowl. Per Tim Brando twitter.

if ULM actually believed they had a shot with the SEC, truly believed, you would want them to accept a CUSA bid? no, of course not.

what a dumb comparison

No, what's dumb is actually believing that the third place team in the WAC truly had a shot getting into the Liberty Bowl.

Well he's right about ulm and cusa. The chickens have one of, if not the smallest budget in fbs, terrible facilities, no media market, no history of success. They would most likely be the last team from the SBC offered a spot in a new conference.

thats a bunch of crap from the La Tech AD. If the Liberty was taking them no matter what they would have been given an invitation then and there.

this idiot is digging a hole that will be tough for La Tech to get out of so log as he is there (and probably for years after)

Well on plus side Tech never has to worry about a possible liberty bowl invite messing things up for them again.
