I would have said K-Rod but he's fallen off the map.

Carlos Lee and Pedro Feliz
Oh sorry I thought we were talking about Drayton.

not really
arent you a rangers fan??
your best players strike out more often
It is a poor ratio for a guy who is supposed to be an all star and a "potential HOFer". For the record I am a Rangers fan but how does this have to do anything with the fact that I think Brian McCann is over-rated? I have no bias to the Braves, in fact I go and watch them play with my buddies from Auburn.

Nelson Cruz and Josh Hamilton strike out more frequently that he does.
That doesnt make him a bad player.
you said that was terrible

no catcher has more HR's than McCann since his debut. Id say he is pretty good.

but McCann strikes out 1 in every 5 abs, that is terrible.
McCann has 2681 plate appearances in the major leagues with a K% of 14.9. This season in 309 PA's he has a K% of 20.5. So do you think those 309 PA's are more important than the other 2372 PA's or do you just like cherry picking stats?

who has more HR's, RBI, or a higher BA as a catcher since Mccann got to the bigs? I'll hang up and listen

He definitely shouldn't have been there this year.
False.
BA is so 1950. McCann's OBP is top notch, despite a down season hitting the ball. By every measure that matters (OBP, OPS, RC, WAR, etc.) he's better than any other MLB catcher at the plate and his D isn't nearly as bad as everyone thinks.

Have you browsed the stats from NL catchers? The only player with an argument against McCann is Olivo, really.

Does overrated = overpaid?
If yes then Carlos Lee wins this one hands down

I'm a Cubs fan but I've always thought Alfonso Soriano was pretty overrated, especially since he left New York.

Check out his home/away splits. His success is so obviously a function of Coors Field it isn't even funny.
Olivo 2010 Splits

With the possible exception of Adam Dunn during in his Cincinnati days, I've never seen a player put up more empty stats than Soriano.

are you retarded? I was talking abou this poll, I didn't even read the facts you linked. Apparently MLB players don't know what the word "overrated" means.

You replied to my post and weren't particularly clear. I apologize for misunderstanding. But no, I am not retarded.

It definitely does. That's one reason why JD Drew is always on these lists. Even though he puts up solid numbers, people see his large contract and games he misses and immediately label him overrated.
