Obviously every position in a sport is important, but what are some that just don’t have much pressure to perform relative to other positions.

Punter has got to be up there, while a great punter can have an enormous impact on the game, if you screw up everyone pretty much forgets about it 10 seconds later. If your punt gets blocked, returned well, or the snap isn’t caught, most of the time other people get blamed like the snapper or the coverage team. And if your teams strategy works you never even have to go into the game!

Kickoff specialist, the worst that can happen is you pull a few out of bounds

Back up quarterback

Back up quarterback isn’t a position though, he’s a quarterback. That’s like saying 3rd string PG because they never play

Back in the day when most teams carried 3 active QBs it had to be QB3. Most pressure you faced was probably those 1st and 4th preseason games.

Yea that guy is the exception that proves the rule. In order for anyone to remember something bad you did as a punter you have to be THAT BAD

Again I’m talking a playing position, obviously guys who aren’t playing don’t have a lot of pressure

No one ever really blames the punter for a bad play unless you do that.

Usually if its blocked, the O-line didn't do it's job and the punter is usually left off the hook by the TV announcers and fans even if the punter is to blame for taking a wrong kicking angle or whatnot.

Like the Vikings punter, Chris Kluwe, who kept punting to Reggie Bush the night when Reggie kept having good returns?

This is the same dumbass who claimed 2-3 years later that he got cut for political reasons and not because his work sucked in comparison to his salary (top 10 paid punter in the league).

Tight End. Good ones can be a real weapon. But average ones don’t really break you. They are asked to block, but no one expects them to block as well as an O lineman. They are asked to catch. But no one expects them to be as good as your WRer’s. Basically, they are the worst players (comparatively speaking) of two separate position groups.

When is the last time someone said...”we’re just a TE away from a championship?”

That’s a good one, even though more and more in the NFL tight ends are becoming the best weapons on your team. Your premise is good though, unless you have one of the truly elite game changers like Kelce or Gronk, nobody really pays them much mind if they screw up

If you are a punter or kicker you are still one bad game away from being fired.

Also, every training camp they bring in 2 or 3 guys to try to take your place.

I say unless you are a superstar being in the NFL is stressful in regards to losing your job.

If we’re discussing actual person it’s the Emergency QB for NFL. They most likely won’t play. The backup gives looks during scout.
