That's a big problem. I would rather follow the Astros but can't because of the blackout rules.

No, no it wasn't unless it was for the month of September. It is $129 for the season and that's a bargain.

It was a flash sale. June 29th. It was $10 for the rest of the season.

On June 29, 2007, at 6 p.m. ET, the first iPhone went on sale. In recognition of the occasion and its meaning to baseball fans, 2017 MLB.TV yearly subscriptions are now on sale for just $10 until the conclusion of tonight's slate of games. Visit MLB.TV.

Yes. They have a streaming version.

Only if you're a student, or live in a apt. complex where DirecTV is unavailable.

You can still pay a buddy 40$/year for his log in info, tho u can only log into 1 device at a time.

I don't think he's arguing that anything is > the NFL or NBA. Just that MLB isn't dead.

Yeah I know his point, but over-the-top subscribers doesn't tell me much. I think people understand that baseball is solid in local markets, but it's position among national audiences is a struggle at times.

First few weeks? GamePass was fricked up for everyone on October 8. Didn't fix the problem until around halftime for the first set of games. The new company has been absolute shite. Never an issue with the old company. They turned a great service into a shite service.

After they fixed whatever was wrong with it, it no longer works with AirPlay. That was the whole reason I bought it, to shoot it up to the TV to watch on the big screen.

This is a lie. They had a flash sale for like one day in June I think. I got mlb.tv for the rest of the season for $10. And it was awesome.

The only thing I didn’t like about it was actually that they didn’t have commercials. You think you hate commercials until you get 2 minutes of silence between innings.

LInk to the thread LINK

I prefer the blank screen and silence.

That graphic is pretty misleading. Most of the NFL and NBA subscribers can use WatchESPN/regular cable and catch their games.

WatchESPN isn’t included because it’s not technically a subscription service, as it’s a cable free add on.

In 2016 baseball grossed nearly 10 billion dollars. That's over twice as much as the NBA.

T-Mobile gives MLBTV for free. T-Mobile has over 70 million subscribers.

I subscribed because it was free. I've never used it though. I don't really care for baseball.

You're blacked out by MLB's antiquated and short-sighted policy.

Patience, my fellow Strobro. The blackout restrictions have been more and more lenient with each passing year. It won't be long before we are watching the World Champs via MLB.tv in BR.

I would gladly pay extra to MLB.tv for the rights to stream in-market without having to be locked to a cable/satellite-subscribing service.

I'd imagine mlb.tv offering a free game every day has something to do with that number too.

MLB sees the NFL fricking everything up and sees a chance to rip that shite away from them.
