When I found out Darryl Kile had died. Was a big fan of him as a kid when he played for the Astros, and it was just a very very saddening thing to find out he had passed.

This Video

I have posted it before... you can't be a sports fan and not have some emotional response to this montage.

Player injuries get to me. Especially if you know it's likely the last time you'll see them play on a certain level (i.e. Nerlens Noel).

When Jeremy Jarmon announced that he was ineligible at UK due to taking a NCAA banned supplement from GNC. The kid knew he fricked up and still got up there in front of the media, made the announcement himself, and tearfully apologized to UK fans. It was a pretty heartbreaking press conference to watch.

When longtime UK equipment manager Bill Keightley died and Kentucky wore these in his honor:

The Yankees/Rays pre-game the first baseball game after 9/11.

There's a solid list of UK Football and Basketball losses I could probably list too.

Marcus Lattimore's last knee injury was a rough one on me...

I didn't cry but I was incredibly sad when after shutting down mccarron for most of the game, LSU decides to let alabama march right down the field and score in the NEZ last year

Super Bowl "pick six".

Sorry, just read "sad" part. Not same. Dad and I just looked at each other like "holy shite" after not really speaking for the whole game....

Except for "That's so fricking stupid!!!... GREAT CALL" during onside kick.

I know that it is not a legit sport, but the Monday Night Raw after Owen Hart died was pretty damn sad.

I cried all day long when Munson died but I was 11.

Always remember right where I was when I heard that news

I was in my apt on Aster by river road and it hit me to my core. On top of that, we were at the Football Hall of Fame a few years and when we went to eat we looked at and saw we were on Thurman Munson Drive in Canton. My wife and I are got so choked up.

Now I would be lying if I said I haven't teared up during a e:60, real sports, etc.

The E:60 about the high school coach from Nebraska? who was murdered in the weight room by his player got me good.

Same here. Best moment of my life. Especially being there live and getting swept up in the emotion there.

As for sad: Although I'm not old enough to have seen it live, the saddest sports moment for me was watching Larry Holmes reluctantly pound Muhammad Ali while the ref just didn't have the stones to stop the fight. It was just awful all around.
