By all means Im fine with hating on the rangers but I watched the clip twice and Kemp seemed surprised to get a shove after taking out Chirinos (who was blocking the plate) and then Kemp stuck his shoulder into him getting up. Has the series been chippy or anything?

No. Which is why I have no idea what the frick Kemp was doing or thinking

And chirinos was only blocking the plate because the throw beat Kemp by so much that he was just standing there waiting for him

Kevin Brown has gone from striking out big league batters to retiring would-be mail thieves.

The longtime major league pitcher seemingly put an end to a recent run of stolen mail in his north Macon, Georgia, neighborhood, apprehending a 15-year-old boy and another man before their arrests Wednesday.

According to a report by The (Macon) Telegraph, Brown hid in a neighbor's yard and waited for the alleged thieves to swipe some mail. When they tried, Brown caught them, holding them at gunpoint until police arrived, officers at the scene told the newspaper.

18 of top 20 international prospects tested positive for banned substances

I'm not sure how legit this is, but apparently 18 of the top 20 international prospects that are eligible to sign this July have tested positive for banned substances. The teams who had verbal contracts with them will void those agreed-to deals and these players will probably end up signing for much less and maybe with another team.

fangraphs just came out with an article that said the mets shouldnt trade degrom but i disagree. im not saying they should take anything, but with only year of control after this, they should at least call everyone and tell them to make their best offer

Looked clean to me. But Dodgers play the Rangers in Arlington in August so they discuss things then.

Dude, the dirtball agents down there, have the kids on the juice as soon as they can. Promising them $$$ and a life in America, if they only take this pill and play ball 24/7.

It's why majority of those busted are from Caribbean,Central America, etc.

They have very few choices, and these scum bags prey on them when they begin to show any talent. Or when they hit 13-14.

chrinos was blocking the plate and it was a bang-bang play. You can't watch it in slo-mo and make a judgement. Chrinos wasn't really waiting, he caught the ball offline and came back in front of the plate right as Kemp was arriving.

Kemp has no idea about that.

The first game is Chirinos bobble-head night.

How was it dirty? The catcher's momentum in catching the ball carried him up the baseline. Kemp didn't go out of his way to initiate the contact and he sure as hell can't stop on a damn or change direction.

he was only blocking the plate because the throw beat kemp by so much

he was waiting there to make a tag with the ball. he can do that. he cant block the plate while waiting for the ball. he can once he has the ball and kemp cant just run through him if thats the case

he should know about it if i do

No shite. I'm simply pointing out that there is a rumor that the teams will "void" the verbal contracts.

chirinos caught the ball and was waiting on kemp to make the tag. what kemp did is no different than a take out slide

did we see the same play? kemp had more than enough time to try a swim move or get [i]around[/] chirinos

Naw, he was at full speed and Chrinos stepped in front of him at the last minute. At full speed, as big and old as Kemp is, he's not able to make sudden changes in direction.

You're a baseball nerd. i didn't know about it and I live in Dallas.

Apparently we didn't see the same play because:

A) Kemp has a right to the plate
B) Less than a second of reaction =/= "more than enough time"
C) you think that fat arse is going to stop on a dime and do a "swim move"? are you serious with that? He has a hard enough time fielding fly balls. he sure as hell isn't going to perform a runningback-style maneuver to avoid the contact.

You are simply wrong.
