Considering I'm talking to one of biggest Cardinals homers on the board, about another Cardinals player, I guess I was wrong to assume people still used deductive reasoning to figure things out.

So what you're saying is you made a mistake? Assuming that I'm only trying to talk Cardinals players? Geez I hope you don't judge everyone this harshly. That's okay I think you learned.

and this is why Cardinals fans are disliked on this board, critical thinking is not a strong part of their everyday life. It is ok... hopefully you learn

I mean, Carlos Martinez isn't who anyone thinks of when they think struggling players this season. Not like Ozuna at least.

because I asked which Martinez you were talking about? I would have never assumed because im a cards fan, that we always have to be talking about cardinal players. Now I know that, go on.

Mike Trout is 5/7 with 4 bombs and headed for 2 straight losses. He will have driven in all 5 of the angels runs. You know he has to be getting frustrated in LA

Trout should have around 250 HRs @ season’s end. He’s 26(27 in August), makes you wonder if he’s got a shot @ the all-time HR record...A-Rod hit #300 @ almost 28. He’s on a good pace.

Mike Trout, not a Mariner, is the first player to have consecutive multi-HR games at Safeco Field.

I'm really excited to see this

The Yankees will promote right-hander Jonathan Loaisiga from Double-A to make a spot start later this week, manager Aaron Boone announced Tuesday (link via ESPN’s Coley Harvey). He’ll get the ball Friday in place of the injured Masahiro Tanaka. Domingo German will start Thursday for the Yankees, with Luis Severino going Saturday, per the report.

And another kid hits the DL
quote:

The Dodgers announced that they’ve placed right-hander Walker Buehler on the 10-day disabled list with a microfracture in his right rib and recalled left-hander Caleb Ferguson from Triple-A. Pedro Moura of The Athletic tweets that Buehler made three starts with the fracture before being forced to the DL and is playing catch today. Moura adds that the Dodgers are hopeful that it’ll be a matter of a couple weeks as opposed to an extended absence.

Not as big as Ohtani, but just as important for his team so far this season

The Dodgers are swinging the bats now so that's taking the pressure off the Triple A pitchers they are having to use. They are 8-2 in their last 10 games and averaging 8.4 runs per game during that stretch.

Yea but Buehler looked impressive, he was taking the pressure off of them missing Kershaw.

deGrom goes 7 strong today 7K 0BB 1ER, and gets the loss. Soroka goes 6 1/3 1H 4K 1BB. Hell of a start by the young man. I’m guessing they’re being careful with him, as he only had 74 pitches when they pulled him.

Over deGrom’s last five starts, he has gone 36 IP and only given up 5 runs (1.25 ERA). The Mets are 0-5 in those games.
