I am not a fan of this idea. The league is already ware of teams not competing. Teams should have more pressure to decide what they are doing regarding buying or selling, not less by pushing it back.

The best team in the NL East hasn't made a move yet. With Scherzer hurt now, I'd expect maybe to strengthen their bullpen

The Mets are still shopping both Zack Wheeler and Noah Syndergaard. It's not clear whether they would trade both of them between now and the 31, or just go with what they view as the best value for one of them.

Diaz numbers, especially hits and homers are up. Buyer beware. He's young with electric arm, but man, after his big last season, and now getting hit this season, i'd be hesitant, especially at the price.
