Giants have won 3 titles in like 9 years and Dodger fans act like they’re bottom feeders meanwhile they’ve lost back to back WS

Jon Morosi
@jonmorosi

Source: #Royals now firmly indicating to teams that Whit Merrifield will not be traded by next Wednesday. Jake Diekman, however, is increasingly likely to be dealt.

Exactly. I'd build on him and Mondesi.

Whit Merrifield

Another guy who's worth a lot more to Royals than a team he would be dealt to. His cost is not worth what you get and he's already 30.

Royals , even if they nail drafts and really hit on player development, will suck for at least five years. Then he is 35. No upside to keeping him

he's not worth the price, and is certainly not a difference maker for his cost

syndergaard apparently could cost a top 30 prospect and a couple solid pieces. whatever that means

looks like the DAT posted the tweetMarc Carig

Impression is that trading for Noah Syndergaard would require a top 30 prospect and a couple of other solid pieces, one rival exec said earlier today.

Cardinals have Gorman and Carlson that fit the description, but I don't know if they'd be willing to pull the trigger on something like this.

Lux and Smith to get the talks started, then what other 3 do you add? Gray? Grove?

I enjoy how there are always bad odds for stuff like this on NY and LA teams because they know people will bet them anyway.

Twins are the value bet there.
