I think the whole reason they floated hsi name or 'listened' to trade talk for shark was to try to drive him to the table. Jeff's an odd case because he got a major league deal with his first deal so that he wouldn't play football so negotiating with him is a bit harder since he's already had his taste of big money. But worth it (don't want to be misunderstood on that)

You could get a hell of a return from them in SBL.

I am going to go for one in the offseason.

I like that one of the Yankees reporters reported "no one is interested in Phillip Hughes" and Yankees "haven't received any offers"
Posted on 7/31/13 at 12:09 pm to msutiger
That could work out well for Houston

Carter/Norris makes sense for Texas.
Not sure what they would pay.

Orioles are actively pursuing both Mike Morse and Oliver Perez of the #Mariners today, accdg to a source. Would like a combo deal.

Heyman is saying interest in Norris narrowing.
Im starting to think its very possible Norris is going to stay put.

Yeah the last article I read, Samardzjia didnt seem too concerned with a long term deal. Understandable for a guy who got what, 5m's out of college?

Keep in mind, Heyman takes any and every opportunity to shite on the Astros. When we traded Pence his response was "Astros sold high on Pence. Yet still didn't get very much"

You have to love following this stuff at the deadline. From mlbtraderumors:
12:02 pm: The Orioles are interested in a reunion with Joe Saunders.
12:11 pm: Saunders is not a target for the Orioles right now.

Seems like Luhnow had unrealistic expectations.
