The Phillies need pieces

He's young and has 5 years of control. They would seemingly get a haul if they dealt him. A team like Texas has the pieces, too.

If Gallo figures out 1B (that can be handled during winter ball and spring training) that would help the Phillies with the Ryan Howard problem to some extent (hopefully JD doesn't take that contract in any trade).

Would you trade Gallo AND Profar, though? I'm not too sure that wouldn't be too much.

Cubs need a lefty that can produce at the plate.

There have been rumors swirling about Josh Reddick from the A's.

Hitting .296/.373/.442 on the year, with beautiful 11.0% and 12.9% walk and strikeout rates.

The White Sox are willing to trade away righty James Shields, according to Jon Morosi of MLB.com (via Twitter). Shields has split his season between the Padres and the South Siders, who acquired the 34-year-old earlier in the summer.

At this point I'm one or the other unless it's Sale.

Even after his recent nice stretch, all of his numbers with Chicago are worse than what they were with SD this year.

After a rough start he has been really good....

Last 48 innings pitched (7 games) he has allowed 11 runs

Despite his 2.11 ERA over the last 7, he is sporting a 4.8 FIP and 5.3 xFIP.

He's been incredibly lucky with a .215 BABIP.

Braves have traded Lucas Harrell to the Rangers. Dario Alvarez may be in the trade as well. No word yet what the Braves are getting back.

Confirmed now that both Harrell and Alvarez are going to the Rangers. Apparently we'll know soon what the Braves got back.

Judging by those names I'd assume Atlanta isn't expecting much back aside from a new washing machine.

I would hunt down Jon Daniels if that was the case.

It's outfielder Travis Demerritte
