Encarnacion's reasonably well regarded within the system just considered very raw. Very talented, "toolsy" i guess. Zimmerman seems to be a rising name in the system but they're both pretty far off.

Although I believe you are a bit defensive over nothing as no one outside of Braves fans have talked much about him so who is "bitching"

The Schoop trade was light too. They finally decide to go in a different direction as a franchise and got worse. Still a team stuck with a bunch of different versions of Mark Trumbo and didn’t get optimal value for the talent they gave away. It’s like Isiah Thomas has been running that organization for years.

No braves fans knew of him before today either

Folks are just weighing the trade.

A guy hovering around 4 ERA in the AL East is fine with me. Braves rotation is basically 3 guys, so any experience is welcome. Tonight we're starting a 20 year old.

I was just referring to his stance, "to everyone bitching about his HR's" but he explained it in a post below

How's everyone feeling about their teams deadline maneuvering?

I'll give the Astros a solid B..

Martin Maldonado
Ryan Pressly
Roberto Osuna

Big need was to address the bullpen. They got a solid arm with potentially high upside in Pressly and addressed closer with Osuna. Maldo gives us a solid defensive option at C.

The only other area of need was potentially another bat to fill LF but that wasn't a great market to pick over.

I liked what Jon Daniels did with what we had. Can’t blame him that Hamels sucked arse his last 4 starts.

Got solid returns for Kela and Diekman though.

Also said Beltre wasn’t moved because the player said the return for him wasn’t good enough for Texas when it came down to it in places that actually offered him a place to play everyday.

Now J.A. Happ has the same thing Syndergaard got last week:

J.A. Happ is the latest pitcher with hand, foot and mouth disease
quote:

Only a week-plus after Noah Syndergaard shockingly contracted the usual children’s malady hand, foot and mouth disease, new Yankees pitcher J.A. Happ also has the illness.

He was sent home on Tuesday after being diagnosed at New York Presbyterian hospital, but unlike his children’s-sickness-contracting counterpart Happ has not been sent to the disabled list just yet and at this point Yankees GM Brian Cashman says he is still on track to start against the Red Sox at Fenway this Saturday. Apparently this case of a disease that rarely appears in adults is only a minor one.

Some Orioles fans believe the Angelos family is shedding payroll because they're going to sell the team. That's really the only justification for the moves they have been making.

B for the Braves. No incredibly impactful additions but added 4 controllable role pieces without surrendering any significant prospect capital.

A nice job by AA finding some buy low pieces for a team that’s in the playoff hunt and not giving up any future value.

I’m surprised the Orioles didn’t trade Jones. I guess he has no trade protection, but I don’t know why he’d rather be stuck on a sinking ship than chase a ring with a contender.

He has a no trade clause. I think I read a local article and said that he just didn't want to move his family in the middle of the season and rather wait to move during the offseason.

Please don't tease me with any kind of that excitement. Sadly, I don't think that will happen anytime in the near future
