The Astros and Padres appear to be making some headway when it comes to a trade involving some of San Diego’s pitching, reports Evan Drellich of the Houston Chronicle. One source told Drellich that things are “gaining steam,” though multiple people close to the situation told him that there’s nothing “in the red zone” just yet.

And Matt Holliday just re-pulled his groin and fell down in pain, let the Cards rumors begin to heat up soon.

goldenbadger08's fault.

It's gotta be just a matter of time before the Cards get Lind for first base. Now more than ever, they need a first baseman.

bottom of the page bump.
Dodgers will probably fleece the shite out of Braves and Marlins.

Gomez is having a pretty bad season based on his recent track record. He turns 30 in December and prior to the last 2 years he has never hit 20+ home runs. He strikes out a lot and doesn't walk that much either...
He missed 30 games
He's OPSing .824 this month

That will force their hand, Holliday will be out another month now. Piscotty moves to LF from 1B and you go grab whoever you can at 1B, preferably Lind. Price will go up now against the Cards.

#Braves lefty Alex Wood would go to #Dodgers if three-team deal with #Marlins is completed, sources tell me and @jonmorosi.

Looks like the Cards might be in the market for a left fielder now
Posted on 7/29/15 at 7:50 pm to Toula
Wow. Wonder who the Braves get. I would assume less than de Leon.
Posted on 7/29/15 at 7:51 pm to goldenbadger08
Idk about that, Holliday would be back in a month or so, and top prospect is a corner OFer who has been up for a week now doing well.
Much rather get a 1B.

You diagnosed Holliday that quickly?

No our beat writer did.

@LangoschMLB: If it's as bad as it looked with Holliday, Piscotty likely becomes everyday outfielder. Likely augments, too, #STLCards need to add 1B.

@LangoschMLB: As expected, Matt Holliday suffered a right quad injury. #STLCards to provide an update tomorrow once more is known re: the severity.
