Per the @baseball_ref database, the only players to have 25+ HR, 60+ RBI, & 48+ XBH in the 1st Half of a season and not be named an All-Star: 2022 Austin Riley 1935 Hank Greenberg (Had 101 RBI)
Well now it's just Hank Greenberg.

Mets have the prospects and Cohen is crazy enough to do it. Would Washington trade him to a rival?
In terms of prospects to get it done, Baltimore could do it
Of course NYY and Dodgers could probably find a way. If Yankees did though that would presumably mean they let Judge walk
Could Texas?

Seattle seems like a big wild card for him. Definitely have the system to do it and Dipoto is crazy aggressive. Toronto also will be a major player I think.

Nah, they can afford Judge plus Soto's arbitration years.

Dont see us trading Alvarez or Baty and it would take at least one of those plus a lot more i would think

Only one player in the Modern Era (Since 1900) has a better OBP through his age-23 season than Juan Soto (.427 OBP from 2018-22).
That player? Ted Williams (.481 OBP from 1939-42).

Watch some random team clean out the farm for him, like the Phillies
Posted on 7/16/22 at 1:16 pm to tduecen
They're dumb enough to do it

Stars never get traded within the division. Rangers already spent a ton on Seager and Semien. Isn't pitching a bigger need?
Posted on 7/16/22 at 3:31 pm to CRDNLSCHMCPSN11
Well yeah but that doesn’t stop teams a lot of the time
Posted on 7/16/22 at 3:39 pm to 5 Deep
Goldschmidt hit #300. Cardinals schedule gets soft. So they should get it together.

Nats SHOULD try and unload Strasburg with Soto. Get from under that contract and reset the whole thing.
Posted on 7/16/22 at 3:52 pm to UnluckyTiger
That Strasburg contract is an albatross around the Nats' necks.
Posted on 7/16/22 at 3:56 pm to CRDNLSCHMCPSN11
And Austin Riley just hit another HR. That's 9 in 17 games and 27 overall. He's in another zip code right now.
Posted on 7/16/22 at 4:02 pm to SteelerBravesDawg
I’ll Venmo you $50 if you never talk about Austin Riley again on this board. You’ve entered littleavery/Aaron Judge territory
Posted on 7/16/22 at 4:05 pm to UnluckyTiger
No one is going to do that when it will cost a fortune to sign Soto alone. Isn't Strasburg signed for another 4-5 years around $30M per?
