Who was their pick where they skirted around the draft bonus pool by giving him stuff under the table? They probably should lose him as well

I wonder how MLB found out about it?

Jon Morosi reports that the Mets have had preliminary trade discussions with the Tigers concerning veteran second baseman Ian Kinsler.
Really no ideas what the Mets plan is

I expected a Scrubs or Astros fan to say that.

Yes, it is expected to be at least 6 prospects from within the past 2 years of international signings.

NOVEMBER 21: An announcement could come today, MLB.com’s Mark Bowman adds on Twitter. Notably, he says to expect a “severe” punishment that strips the Braves of “many” recent international signees.

Previous reports have suggested that top 2016-17 signing Kevin Maitan, who received a $4.25MM signing bonus, could be among any potential losses,

could the braves lose both maitan and pache? that would be insane
Posted on 11/21/17 at 11:03 am to WestCoastAg
I'm not expecting Pache but I could be wrong I guess. KM is good as gone.

So Maitan will just get paid again right? He doesn't have to give back any of the Braves bonus right?
Posted on 11/21/17 at 11:07 am to ProjectP2294
He won't have to give anything back. He will just become a free agent again from what I understand.
Posted on 11/21/17 at 11:08 am to RollDatRoll
But still under the IFA rules, from what I understand.

Yes, he will still have to follow international free agent rules for players under 25.

Braves have been told that maitan is wa free agent now

:31pm: Badler now adds that two other players will be set loose: shortstop Yunior Severino and righty Juan Contreras. The four players identified to this point were those that received the biggest contracts of the organization’s 2016-17 haul, Badler notes.
11:58am: Backstop Abrahan Gutierrez has also been notified that he will become a free agent, Ben Badler of Baseball America reports.
Badler notes on Twitter that the league will be crafting ad hoc rules to govern the signing situation that will apply to these players.
10:27am: The Braves will lose their rights to highly regarded prospect Kevin Maitan, according to Jon Heyman of Fan Rag

between Maitan and Ohtani, it sucks for the teams that are capped at $300K per player for this international signing period. I know the Cardinals are capped. I think there are a lot of other ones as well.
