And no one really on the STL side wants Lynn back.
I do. But Mo isn't exactly blowing up my phone for input.

Lets not forget Gomber here.. hes flying up the prospect list. A lot of cardinals insiders think hes in the same pool as the other top pitchers.

Id like to have Lynn back, but im more worried about what team he goes to.

You don't seem to have a very good grasp on the Cards young arms is all I'm saying.
Posted on 11/9/17 at 2:01 pm to mizslu314
With all this being said I bet the cards are doing this just to drive up his price for the giants to land him. Then we will sign some 240/15/60 hitter who turns 37 soon but hey, at least hes cheap!

Yeah Gomber too, there is just too many to even remember really, so many young arms. Some closer than others.
Trade 2, Miami eats a good chunk...make the deal.
Stanton is worth it.

as you(i believe) posted yesterday in the article. two may even be too much.

Will take two elite and a few other pieces to grab Stanton. Especially if the Marlins are to eat most of the contract.
Posted on 11/9/17 at 2:14 pm to UltimateHog
I know more about them then you do, sadly
Posted on 11/9/17 at 2:49 pm to UltimateHog
My only comment on them is that there are 3 MLB ready guys. You disagree with that?

Cardinals don't have to have Marlins eat a penny.
They know asking to eat=Prospects, which is why yellich could also be part of a big deal.
I believe it could happen, but Mo and Cardinals have played the ooooops we finished 2nd in bidding war shite for 2 many years.
They had a big contract offer for Price, till Boston came in with the silly money. Got lucky there again.

No, I disagree with how far off you think the others are. Or seem to think.
Posted on 11/9/17 at 2:55 pm to SeeeeK
I agree we probably puss out and don't do it, but we can't get outbid here like in free agency with highest offer.
This is a trade, we have what they want, if we want him we can make an offer and get him, no one else is swooping in and outdoing us if we want him.

Which of the other guys are you ready to plug into the rotation

4 are for sure ready next season
Reyes, Flaherty, Hudson, and Gomber. Id be surprised if Alcantara isnt thrown in there in the February.
7 will be ready in the next two season's.
Even though hes technically in the group, weaver is also still boarder line prospect.

Going back to the GG winners, Puig was great on defense this year, but this is why Heyward won it over him:
quote:
According to FanGraphs, both players had 18 defensive runs saved in 2017 but Heyward accomplished that number in nearly 300 less innings in the field. Better luck next year, Yasiel.

You’d think with Oakland losing the Raiders, they would be all in with the A’s, especially with the Warriors on the way to SF.
The A’s have been looking for a home for ages, seeing as how they’ve bounced through multiple cities and still haven’t settled into a stadium of their own.
