Realmuto rumors caught me by surprise. Heard it was Barnhart and Trammell as the asking price. No way I’d trade Senzel, Trammell, or Greene unless I’m blown away. All other prospects and ML players would be scalable except Votto, Suarez, and maybe Castillo.

If he can find some success they shouldnt have too much trouble moving him at the 2019/2020 deadline for some prospects

LOL at Phillies

there is spending money on talent, and pissing away money on a guy on his last legs.

that Cutch deal is absolutely horrendous. Phillies GM was in his hotel room staring at a mirror, outbidding himself, till he finally stopped and called cutch agent.

1 year at 17 per ok, it's only 1 year
2 years at 17 per is asinine
3 years at 17 per is laughable

He’s only 32. And still had 2.8 WAR.

Joe Kelly to the Dodgers 3 yr 25 mil

Familia back to the Mets 3 yr 30 mil

Expecting these to kickstart the reliever market with more to follow in the next day or so

Absolutely not. The Marlins are drastically overvaluing Realmuto.

I think he’s become a bit a overvalued since his name has been in the news for the last half a year or so.

I don’t think you can say the Marlins are overvaluing him, he’s their asset, why wouldn’t they value him highly?

Yes he's their asset, but no chance he's still there in 2 years. Nobody is going to give them what they've been asking for, so adjust your price or lose him for nothing.

I'm not saying they need to move him right now.
Just saying they need to be realistic.

but thats the price right now. no one is saying this will be their asking price two deadlines from now, but they should be asking for the world right now. they have two years to find the right one

I don't think the pieces targeted by the Marlins are ridiculous for Realmuto in a vacuum. But nearly all of the contracts at issue are inequitable.
