Lot of smoke on the Red Sox taking Kumar Rocker at 24 if he's still on the board.

Kumar is like 24 by now right? Unless he comes in and dominates I don't see him being worth the money he wants

He'll be 23 later this year. Some think he can be a 2H bullpen arm, but I guess we'll see if that's the case.

He looked good in Indy ball

I'm glad it's not exclusive to MLB Network anymore. Kumar Rocker has to be the most awesome name in the draft, no?
Posted on 7/17/22 at 11:39 am to CRDNLSCHMCPSN11
Certainly one of the most recognizable.

What was the scare with his arm and is that now gone somehow?

Supposedly he has been looking really good in Indy ball. Seeing him go as high as 15th.
ETA: 5 starts in the frontier league, 1.38 ERA and a .75 WHIP with a 14.4 K/9.

He had surgery and Boras doctors cleared him

You can’t trade picks correct? Is that rule still in place?

According to DraftKings Sportsbook, high school second baseman Termarr Johnson (-330) is the new favorite to be taken with the No. 1 pick. He is trailed by Cal Poly shortstop Brooks Lee (+250), high school outfielder Druw Jones (+400), high school shortstop Jackson Holliday (+800) and high school outfielder Elijah Greene (+6500).

They can trade the competitive balance picks. I think only those.

How much does the independent league pay?

So he didn't want to ride the #7 next to a 20 year old single mom with 4 kids, a dude who just got out of jail, a green haired freak, and a guy with AIDS?
