Agree 100%.

He doesn't mince words. He doesn't tell you gently. He tells you straight up with no bullshite.
quote:

“I saw good leadership qualities,” Parcells said in a telephone interview from South Florida. “He’s very assertive, very direct. It is absolutely impossible to misunderstand what he’s saying. He’s very straightforward and to the point, and I thought that would play well.”
And I throw up in my mouth every time I hear some bullshite coach speak like what Athens advised.

And people forget that Zimmer was already pissed at Carlson for missing two 42 yarders in the third pre-season game. He was on a short leash.

He's a straight shooter, told it like it was. This is a huge reason the players love the guy. He doesn't pussy foot around.

YOu suck, you suck. He's not PC, which is why you care so much, need a soy milk OP?

Zimmer could have been better with his delivery, but how about these dumb questions these reporters ask? They asked him why he was cut!!
The Clay Mathews call was bullshite it and the Vikings should have lost. I wonder what Zimmer would have done if that last kick scenario would not have played out. Theoretically, the refs may have screwed the Packers and the Kicker.

If he was cut for purely performance reasons, there was no need to say what Zimmer said.

Would agree, if you cut someone, just say they were cut and move on.

You do realize Kyle Williams has been in league for 12 or 13 years now? So yes a kicker in 5th is wasted pick is what I'm saying.

Ok. Shannon Sharpe was drafted in the 7th round. I guess you're telling me a kicker in any round is a wasted pick.

ETA: Patriots drafted Stephen Gostkowski in the 4th round. Next time I talk to BB, I'll tell him it was a wasted pick.

A kicker is a wasted pick if you cut him after 2 weeks into the season.

Which is fine, but what Zimmer did was unprofessional. A simple "we decided to go another direction at kicker" would have been fine. Coaches say everything is done in house and get pissed about stuff coming out, but then will blast a guy's performance publicly. Totally hypocritical.

Yeah, unless Carlson was just a douche, Zimmer was probably too blunt.

He doesn't mince words
That doesnt mean he has to say everything that comes to his mind

I mean when he goes to McDonalds, does he look at the janitor with Downs and say

"Hey, boy, a non-retard could do a better job than you"

I mean, we should support that right? Zimmer doesnt mince words
