Marvin was a very good coach. Not great.

It’s amazing how much better a coach is when he has a qb though.

Love Tomlin. A guy I really respect and does things the right way. Him and Coach B are my two favorite coaches in the NFL.

Agreed -- He's been fantastic. Steelers fans have been lucky to have him. They look really strong on both sides of the ball right now.

Steelers are old school. Probably the least reactionary franchise in Pro sports. Sort of like how the Dodgers used to be...they had two managers over 42 years.

They hire a coach and stick with him through thick and thin...Tomlin has a job for life if he wants.

I mean, 3 coaches in 51 years???

We had one terrible decade. The 90s. Its like its all anyone fricking remembers about us.

Marvin Lewis took us the playoffs a shitload with both Carson Palmer and Andy Dalton.

Terrible after him? We're what..5..6 games in to Year 2 of Zac Taylor? Of course we were terrible last year. We fricking tanked to get Burrow.

So much ignorance.

I still give Andy Reid the edge on this one.

That’s a really good discussion point.

A lot of people here love to give Payton shite but he’s a damn good coach. And he’s done it for so long as well. Add the fact that he actually runs the whole offense. I’d say they’re neck and neck

And this board overall wanted him fired

I would take Belichick and Andy Reid over Tomlin every day of the week. After those two, he's right there with John Harbaugh.

Andy Reid has been a very good coach, he never won the big one in Philly, but cam close with McNair's famous headache. But I think Mahomes has elevated him to a new threshold.

He has also improved a lot. If he ran some of the same stuff in Philly that he runs in KC, McNabb would have absolutely thrived in it and they would have gotten at least one between 2001 and 2004.

If you told me a few years ago they would lose AB and Bell and Ben would miss a season late in his career to injury, I would have left them for dead.

Losing AB and Bell was actually addition by subtraction.

Any coach that has been coaching a team for over 10 years in the nfl is a great coach. Definitely agree, Tomlin is an amazing coach

Agreed. There was a time a couple of years ago where this board was condemning Tomlin to the land of over-ratted coaches, until it became clear he was trying to manage a locker room that was a nut house with Antonio Brown, Leveon, and Big Ben.

Tomlin is great.

It's cool that he looks like Omar Epps as well. Style points
