I wish the NBA would create it's own HOF, instead of just the basketball hall of fame
kinda takes away from worthy NBA players when there's some womens cbb coach in the same class...not necessarrily with this class

One of the ESPN guys, Scoop Jackson IIRC, had an article that started a ton of debate about whether or not Jordan should be inducted to the hall by himself.

MJ said, "there may not be an "I" in TEAM, but there is one in WIN"
it's been fun watching all his past games that have been playing nonstop on ESPNClassic.
it's weird seeing him play, and then seeing Kobe play b/c there are so many little things Kobe does just like Mike. The way they walk, shoot, jump, you can tell that Kobe grew up idolizing him and tried to be like Mike.
Any basketball player tried, but Kobe is the only one that looks somewhat the same, has the same smoothness.

are yall watching his presser? I know hes the greatest, but it would be refreshing if he were a bit more humble. I mean he has a right to say it, but he's saying, "There will never be another michael jordan. You guys(the media) are always talking about finding the next michael jordan. First off, you didn't find me. I just happened." Granted I am paraphrasing, but youre referring to yourself in the 3rd person?
you didnt' really comprehend what he said too well.
all he was saying is that no one can be like someone else, everyone is there own person.
he also said the game has changed and you won't see guys that play the same way he did so it would be hard to find another guy like him.

I understood that. I get that the game was different and no two players are going to be alike . I just found it funny that he didn't try to be any more humble. He's still a class act and the GOAT, but the whole "you didnt find me. I happened ," thing was a little ridiculous.

don't really know that that means other than you're a loser for bringing something like that up
he "just happened" b/c they weren't looking for anyone like they are now for some reason.
when MJ came in it was still Magic/Bird and after them it was the pistons, then MJ happen.
the NBA wasn't suffering for a star b/c it had plenty of them, so they weren't looking for something particular is what he was trying to say.
there was nothing ridiculous about it and he was humble throughout the speech, like when he said he doesn't consider himelf the greatest, just looks at it as an opinion of others and is flattered at that opinion.

The amazing thing is when he retired in 98 there were 800 reporters at his press conference.
Best MJ quote. "People ask me if I can fly and I tell them, 'yes, for a little while.'"

100 percent agree why is there not an NBA HOF? Odd.

Recently someone posted a link to the most popular athletes in America according to a major publication, can't remember which one. Tiger was first. Jordan was second, which is absolutely amazing considering how long he's been retired. He was the only non-active athlete in the top 10.

lsuhornets, calm the frick down. The Iowa test thing was a joke. FYI the Iowa test is a standardized test that you take in the 2nd grade. As for MJ, I get your point, but I was just calling it like I saw it. Forgive me for saying anything bad about him. To me it sounded like his was a little full of himself.

Taking shots at Krause.
Krause breaking up the Bulls is right up there with trading Babe Ruth for all-time worst sports moves
