Damn forgot about those types. I can remember watching the strongest man shite on ESPN and now that I think about it, most of them are from a certain part of Europe, and the ones from the U.S. actually have the ethnic European last names.

It amuses me that some obvious superiorities are chill to discuss, while others are not.

That's because the perceived superiorities that you want to discuss don't actually exist.

well, to be fair, genetics determine intelligence also

the problem with including intelligence is that we're relying on a completely non-related genetic difference in a discussion about athletic traits. there is a time and place for discussions about distributions about intelligence, and it's not here

Saying that there is a genetic reason that people of West African descent tend to exhibit better athleticism due to fast twitch muscles isn't racism.

Certain groups in Eastern Africa are more predisposed to distance running due to their climate. That's not a racist statement.

Right, but as far as I know, Jimmy the Greek didn't do this part, right?

And there are two arguments, both of which make sense, about why African-American and Caribbean athletes are so good at sprinting and other sports. First, there is the West African bloodlines, which is simple enough.

Second, there are the intentional consequences of slavery: the difficult journey to the U.S, Jamaica, Brazil, etc where only the strong survived, the brutal treatment of slaves where only the strongest of the ones who made it across the Atlantic survived year after year, and the concept of selective breeding.

But I highly doubt any writer would be allowed to put my last 2 paragraphs in an article in SI, ESPN, Grantland, etc.

The point I was making is that the selective nature of these discussions can only entertain traits that are flattering to minorities.

Discussing genetic traits that are unflattering are quickly derided as racism.

I do know of one.

It is called basic human evolution.

I strongly disagree with this. Especially in the U.S.

My 5 year old blond haired/blue eyed boy is faster than every black kid he plays against in soccer, t-ball, and football.

The unflattering traits have a lot to depend on where you are educated at, what school system you're in, etc. In my graduating class there were about 5 blacks that graduated in the Top 10 at a white high school in Kansas. The town have about 11,000. The community valued education, etc.

I've seen a big difference from people in the SAME family where one group of kids are educated in Louisiana and another are educated in Kansas. The kids from Louisiana that moved up to Kansas are waaay behind in education, are in the criminal justice system, etc. Ones from Kansas actually graduate towards the top of their class, good ACT, SAT scores, go to schools like KU, K-State, OU, Mizzou. Ones from Louisiana live the thug life, in and out of jail, high school dropouts etc. These are people from the SAME blood lines. People move up to Kansas/Missouri/Illinois for a better life, better education system, etc. That's why I don't buy that intellectual superiority crap when I see blacks graduate at the top of their class at all white high schools, score good on ACT, SAT, etc.

What about all the black people from Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, etc? Did they come from a different part of Africa?
