He’s arguably a top five defender no doubt, but the reported demand of $200M total / $40M per year was kinda crazy. It’s not like Dallas was going to win the Super Bowl this year either. With the money saved, they can now easily pay for the two first rounders they got in return + add multiple pieces.

It’s really not a bad trade between the teams, Packers get an elite pass rusher but his contract is enormous. Enormous now but might become the norm for pass rushers if the salary cap keeps growing.
Dallas Cowboys defense was arse with him on it and will suck again this year. Two 1sts creates A LOT of options for the rebuilding of the Cowboys.

I think both teams win in this trade. Green Bay is a contender and Dallas needs to rebuild their defense.

Same, we have pieces that can replace Kenny Clark who will be 30 in October. Meanwhile, our pass rush sucks. Parsons has had double digit sacks every year since coming into the league. Here are the Packer players w/ double digit sacks in a year during that time:

im a Dallas fan and yes Jerry is a horrible GM, but IMO Micah is not worth 47m a year. Thats just nuts. He plays balls out and is always banged up and that body is going to run down quick. He's also a head case. Of course, id rather have him, but he's always in the storylines for stupid shite.
I just wish we got 2 starters plus the picks out of it.
