The real reason is Coaching.
Miami has some superior athletes. Clearly an elite roster.
Obvious talent advantage over IU in the trenches.
IU had everything else: intangibles, effort, execution, focus.

Nah, youre wrong
My apologies. Did not realize you were on Miami's coaching staff. If your guy kept playing soft coverages and that was not the intent/design of his assignment; why did you wait until after the game to make complaints about it on the internet instead of making in game adjustments?

Fun fact: Number 87 is Alex Bauman, former Tulane TE who scored the winning touchdown against USC in the Cotton Bowl.

Cause he sucks....he got beat with the adjustments. They simply would find him and go that way.
Apologies accepted, moron

He should go back to Tulane. He blew that game

Miami was getting by on favoritism from the refs as well for the entire playoffs. Luckily Indiana was good enough to overcome all their advantages.

So we’re back to my original point that him playing the soft coverages was by design in an effort to try and hide his deficiencies.

No...you are
Original.poimt was he is absolutely atrocious and got exposed and abused.
You can put players in the right position, but you can't make them execute.
He can't execute. Id go further, but its over your head. Knowing the game matters and the schemes to hide him. He was even on the rb at one point and got beat deep. Qb threw over wrong shoulder or it was a long td.
24 sucks

Blocked punt
Missed fg
CB can't throw an accurate ball
End of story

Maybe run Fletcher more? Built like LF7 and has a jump cut. Find creative ways to get Toney the ball. Bad scheme to rely on Beck.

Indiana players must have found the deer antler spray

Indianas OC,DC were much better than Miami. In game play calling Indiana coaches clearly out schemed the U and called the perfect plays on important downs,Miami didn’t have a clue what was coming.Totaly a mismatch in coaching.Miamis talent kept them in the game.

Refs call an even game, Hoosiers win by 2, possibly 3 scores.
