If Howard thought he was underutilized in Houston
What's crazy about Dwight being mad about this is that he WAS given post-ups the first year all the time... the problem is that he sucked. He would travel, dribble the ball off of his foot, step out of bounds, commit an offensive foul, completely brick the shot, and sometimes make it.

It was horrible how it would be almost a guaranteed turnover when you threw him the ball.

The Rockets gave him a lot of time to prove that he could play with his back to the basket... and he failed spectacularly.

And then he throws a fit when the coaches tell him he's not going to get nearly as many post ups.

My least favorite part about having Dwight was when he would dominate a game early on dunks and putbacks, and then we would feed him the ball on post-ups only to watch our lead disappear.

Howard could make four hooks in a row, and I wouldn't be confident he could make one of the next four attempts.

Will be fun to watch but manufactured teams like this rarely work & I surely don't trust Rose, Melo & Dwight Howard to break that trend.

Rose is a pretty unselfish player and Melo seems to really have matured into a leader. Maybe it could work.

He could string together 3 or 4 in a row... but to me it felt more like he got lucky than anything.

His normal self is dribbling the ball off his foot and turning it over.

What he views himself as is incongruent to what he is.

He thinks the key to his game is getting stronger in the weight room, as opposed to developing post moves.

Exactly. Melo hasn't joined super friends in other locations because he can't stand to share the ball with another scorer...AI and Melo was a disaster in Denver, when at the time, they were the 2 leading scorers in the league

And finished only second in their division, with Camby (lead blocker) and kenyon martin. Melo couldn't even do shite with Chauncey Billups.

Denver went to the WCF with Billups and Melo.

Shhhhhh, don't bring up things that happened.

CP3 hasn't even been to WCF, shite they gave up a 2-1 lead to a Rox team that got Boat-raced by GSW last year.

I think this is more a failure on Phil Jackson. While I understand that you get the kick the tires for a rental of Rose, giving up RoLo was probably too much. There's no way they will be able to find someone who plays the position as well defensively AND is on a bargain contract (in today's Cap).

I believe it was 3-1 as "Houston" fans will tell you (since Clutch City is Cleveland)...If Phil is smart he's moving Melo before the expectations for this team are silly.

This team needs to be building around KP, a rookie. Not a bunch of vets trying to prove something.

That said, Kevin Love is a guy who makes sense. On a good deal, gives space and has a title now.

I'd still prefer to pair KP with a burlier C/PF (like Lopez). At least until KP grows into his body.
