I caught a few minutes of it on tv. Announcers said somebody was pitting and a lap down compared to the other top three drivers but he gets his spot back if any of them go pit. NASCAR. That makes no sense

I don’t think anyone’s saying it’s more boring to compete in.

It’s certainly more boring to watch though

If your only concern is "who won", then I see your point. However, for those of us that appreciate how that win is accomplished, then for us it is more entertaining.

Yes it was cold. Unless you were in the sun.

It was fine. The wind made it a little chilly.

We got some infield passes from a sponsor right on the wall. Never been to Nascar before so we went. It was fricking awesome. The infield is just a massive tailgate lot. We were grilling out and playing Cornhole and the like. Had one of the tall stands where we could go up and see the race better. That's the only time it got chilly because of the wind, but a jacket made it perfect.

People shitting on it clearly have never been. It was fun as hell.

Maybe if they put the rules back like it used to be then that would help.

You’re correct. It was another boring race.

At this point, I just wait for Tuesdays to hit so I can watch Nascar Radioactive on YouTube

I've gone twice:

1st time we camped in an RV in the infield, wild time. There's all kinds of debauchery going on in there after dark. Got on top of the RV with headphones to watch Sat/Sun race. Good Times.

2nd time camped in an oilfield trailer across the road in a field with about 400-500 other crazy fans. Got F'ed up and two strippers got buck naked on top of a RV Near us. I got up the next morning and was eating breakfast, chick sitting by me was one of said strippers. She was a hot red head and hung out with us all day. My wife was with me so I just stared and wished in my mind. Never went to the races and had a great time

I couldn't believe how small of a draw Indycar got to COTA last week.

The infield was amazing. My wife said we should rent an RV and do the whole weekend next year.

Now that LeBron is out for the season, there’s no reason to watch.

That's what we did, if you do take Monday off.

It was hell getting out Sunday night

It was cold in the shade up in PU 402 row 62. The infield was in the sun and was somewhat blocked.

And to the earlier poster about the cars getting their lap back.

Those cars went a lap down because they pitted under green. Once the leaders pitted they would lose a lap to the rest of the field.

I have attended one nascar event. Unless it’s just me and a bunch of friends looking for a reason to drink I won’t be going again.

Not much entertainment value there. Pretty boring to be honest. I will say everyone needs to experience it at least once though. That’s plenty enough.

I would imagine the stands are pretty fricking boring unless you like Nascar. The infield was just a giant tailgate lot. Everyone likes tailgating.

Get out of here with that bullshite. Surely you can see why people would find NASCAR incredibly boring apart from just watching "who won".

I used to be a huge NASCAR fan, but my interest level in it has basically gotten to nonexistent.

I’ll say this though, and I saw someone mention it, if you have never attended a race don’t knock it. It’s something I would recommend everyone to do at least once.
