After a season of an interim coach, Ohio State will announce the hiring of coach Bobby Petrino.

At this point, he should Evel Knievel into the Horseshoe with a blonde OT 7.5 on the back.

Be spectacular, Ohio State.

The people who ESPN have let walk and the people who they've kept as their premier people is insane. They deserve every subscriber they lose right now.

This is a big nothing burger. Unless McMurphy has texts showing urban knew, he’ll just say his wife never told him about it.

Even if there was proof, him lying at big 10 media days to cover up that he knew doesn’t mean much besides that he’s a scumbag.

But only if she works for him.

Go ahead and explain the ways in which this requirement is unconstitutional.

He didn't witness the abuse nor was told directly by the abused party.

He doesn't have a legal requirement to report.

True, but the morality of it is what will get him fired

Add in the fact that it WAS ALREADY reported, I don't understand how anyone could construe this as a title IX issue.

He shouldn't have said he didn't know, even if it was Shelley that off handedly told him. No doubt about that.

Its a different story altogether, but Paterno was never told directly by a victim of Sandusky.

And just because he wasn't told directly, he should've investigated it or reported it. His own wife, who is an employee of OSU, was saying the guy was scary.

Title IX has a low threshold for these things.

I'm failing to understand what is shady about an arrest. What were they arrested for?

I mean, LSU has never had players arrested, right? The nightclub beating wasn't swept under the rug?
I am just messing with you

However, I would make the statement with confidence that OSU under Urban has done alot of shady things, likely more shady that most other schools and programs

I fully believe Urban is dirtier than the average coach and he hasnt changed

The police were already investigating.

She told HER parents, everyone knew.

The police didn't even charge him. If Urban fires him, there would be a lawsuit for wrongful termination.

It was a really messy situation, but there wasn't much more Urban could do if everyone was aware already.

If he did know, he never should have said he didn't. That was a very bad choice for public perception.

He was fired a week ago, where is the lawsuit?

All parties involved we're aware of the situation stemming back to 2009. Her own parents knew about 2015. The police knew and investigated.

This isn't even remotely close to Penn State however much all the Urban haters want to spin it.

He messed up by lying, if he actually did know. No doubt about that.

It's beyond belief that his wife would be texting with her and other coach's wives about this but not mention it to Urban. Aliens landing at Roswell are more believable than that.

Ok

They would just potentially owe contract money. Nothing more

Smith is currently fighting an ex parte restraining order that was put against him.

He has more pressing issues going on. I assure you that unless a deal is worked out, he will sue.

It was also beyond belief that scam newton didn’t get paid in college. It’s about proof.

I said it was different.

He did mess up by lying but when did he originally find out it was being investigated? Did he at least do his duty and follow up to make sure it was being looked into by the proper University and Legal authorities? He's responsible for one of the biggest football programs in the country in a post-PSU scandal world. So you would think he would at least cover his arse with a paper trail showing he did his part.
