I don’t think Meyer should be fired for this but in today’s social climate he’s going down. The good news for OSU is that he was about to start being average anyways.

If he covered it up, I agree. But that's not what is alleged to have happened.

This is an ex-wife that may be mentally unstable with an axe to grind.

It is a really bad look for Ohio State, no doubt about it.

the title ix discussion on to intensify.

Urbs could be in trouble here.

This is the OSU policy in place at the time of the allegations in 2015.

Colorado HC Mike MacIntyre was reprimanded in a similar situation in December 2016. He got a call from a woman accusing one of his assistants of abuse. He reported it to the AD. The AD reported it to the university chancellor. The chancellor determined no further reporting was necessary since the woman wasn't an employee or student and the event happened off campus. The chancellor was suspended for 10 days without pay and the AD and HC each donated $100k to domestic violence groups. They all received a letter of reprimand too.

Ignoring the allegations would obviously be a much bigger issue.

A lot more information should come out soon though, since he and she will have to testify in the restraining order case.

My understanding is that it was granted "ex parte" meaning he was never notified about it, wasn't able to provide counter evidence, etc.

There will need to be a hearing soon unless he waives that requirement to build a better defense. But it should happen sooner than later since it's a civil matter, not criminal.

The police didn't even charge him.

The following is why it's hard to believe some shady shite doesn't go on inside these football programs.

On the original Oct. 26, 2015 Powell Police report, a box on the form was checked indicating Zach had been arrested. However, nearly three years later – after I reported the incident last week – the Powell Police released a revised version of the report to the media and the arrest box was no longer checked.

“The terminology used by the Police Department was different in the original report (dated 10/26/2015) and inconsistent with what actually occurred,” said Megan Canavan, director of communication for the Powell Police Department.

The ex-wife isn't stating that she told Urban directly.

That's the point.

And that is why Urban fricked up as big as possible by lying about knowing at media days

Now it is rational to believe he may have been part of some big cover up situation

If he never lies and say he left it in the hands of authorities, this isnt even an issue at all

If he was arrested, there would be a much larger paper trail with the jail, etc.

Not only that CUM called McMurphy a liar when he asked him for a comment about the story.

You're not obligated by title IX to report heresay. So it doesn't matter.

But I would assume she did tell him.

Or she said hey, I heard some stuff about Zach. I'm not going to tell you about it to keep you out of it. Just FYI

Which is pretty crazy. Why do that if he knew?

The police were already investigating.

She told HER parents, everyone knew.

The police didn't even charge him. If Urban fires him, there would be a lawsuit for wrongful termination.

It was a really messy situation, but there wasn't much more Urban could do if everyone was aware already.

If he did know, he never should have said he didn't. That was a very bad choice for public perception.

Urban did fire him.

Take a deep breath. After Urbs is fired, things will be OK.

Urban knowing really isnt a big deal if the cops were made aware. If the cops were made aware and didnt do anything, Urban really cant be blamed at all because it could be assumed Smith didnt do anything wrong

That's not the way Title IX works, FYI. He has a duty to report it to university officials regardless of the police involvement. Granted, he may not have been aware he still had a requirement, but the requirement existed nonetheless.

Because he is such a lying sociopath he thinks it wont come back to bite him in the arse

Urban is either 1 a huge sociopathic liar, 2 a raging dumbass, 3 a piece of shite who is part of something worse, or 4. didnt actually know

My order of probability is
