I might have to become a genealogy expert to see if I'm related to ol' boy.

That’s not really how ratings are calculated

Yes — TVs in bars, barbershops, and other public places do count toward TV ratings, and they’ve been officially included in national Nielsen ratings since 2020.

Bring back Russillo but just ban him from talking about NBA

I'm clueless on the topic, but what was wrong/bad with his NBA takes?

So he's going to get paid more per year than all but 2 NFL players (Dak and Burrow at $61 mil/per year), to do his obnoxious day time talk show and be on College Gameday 20 or so times a year?

The people running ESPN are retarded.

Who are they even bidding against? Fox Sports isn't going to offer him anywhere near that much. I can't imagine any of the streaming platforms offering him that much for just his show.

You think advertisers are spending millions on TVs in front of empty treadmills and bar stools?

Why not, when they're not empty (which is the busiest at my gym and its been years since I've hit a bar at noon but my local Twin Peaks is slammed at noon) they've got a captive audience.

Nothing grabs peoples attention better than watching a talk show on a TV with the sound turned off. /s

On second thought, if you have to watch McAfee then the sound being off is probably the best way.

Not a chance.

I had the alternate broadcast on for the Finals last night for about 10 seconds before I couldnt stand hearing McAfee’s commentary.

McAfee is only good in small doses at a time. The longer he talks uninterrupted, the harder it is to stay tuned in

He's on every time I am at the gym, so that is a few TV sets added to the ratings.

We need to start a TD tv podcast and just put us on during gym workout hours so we can make 20 million a year.

Any slapdick could do what this guy is doing
