Mavs are fun to watch. Hawks really need to hit on a decent FA. There will be a ton of money to spend.

Robert Covington should be the primary target. Need a little more help on perimeter defense, and while his three shooting has gone down this season, I'd expect Doncic would give him much better looks than at Minnesota
I would love Bogdanovic to take a little of the creating offense pressure off of Doncic, but I think the perimeter D is a bigger need seeing how productive the offense has been

a friend of mine was telling me that’s who he wanted. didn’t know enough about his game to give an opinion, but based on what you’re saying he would be a great fit. our defense has really been awful

Mavs fan here. I love this move. He was the obvious target. He’s cheap, fits the role Powell was playing and could actually be better than Powell in that role, and they could possibly have him in a position to unlock all that defensive potential he had coming out of college.
As someone else said, he was a guy thrown out there as a target for the Mavs this past offseason. Now they will be on the market looking for a wing defender using Lee’s contract and that Warriors second round pick.

we’ve gotten the most out of every player this year and WCS could flourish with this team, especially with luka in the pick n roll. even though he’s not great amazing defensively he’s definitely better at protecting the rim than powell is

Would have loved TT but currently don’t have the assets outside of Brunson. Powell would have been a major trading piece in any deal coming up

I hate the fricking Mavericks and I hate the fricking Kings and the hawks for not drafting doncic. So frick the Mavericks
nice trade for them though, but they will miss Powell. That guy can play. WCS is more of a minutes eater and gives them some rotation options. They have an opportunity this year to get to the second round if they can get a high enough seed

Coming out of college, scouts talked about him as like the perfect modern defensive center. He was viewed as a guy who could switch onto and defend any position on the court.
WCS is a better rebounder than Powell. Guy is getting over a steal and block per game in like 23 mpg. If he connects with Luka setting screens and catching lobs, it’s very possible he is better for them than Powell was.
