There’s no proof anything happened to the girl to make her a victim. Did Kobe sleep with her? Probably. Did he rape her? None of us know. The fact he paid her off doesn’t prove shite. He probably just wanted it to go away so he could focus on his family.

Not even shocked that the usual suspects have come in to leave their mark. Just happened a bit quicker than anticipated

The thread just got derailed. I don’t think most of the discussion is bad

I just think a league wide number retirement is for those bigger than the game. Jackie Robinson type situations

It’s terrible Kobe died, but he is a retired nba basketball player. The league is free to do what they chose, but it seems strange to me l

Question for those older, was their clamoring for Roberte Clemente’s number to be retired by baseball?

Wilt is gone. He scored 100 points in a game. That’s 19 more than 81.

If they retire Kobe’s number, there’s 15 or so guys in front of him that will need to be retired when they die too, the league would run out of numbers

LSU, yes. Not all of college football.

The Lakers have retired two of kobe’s numbers. No one is commenting on that. It’s the suggestion that the entire league should that is getting some disagreements.

That argument doesn't really equate. LSU will retire his number regardless. A better comp would be if you think Auburn would retire his number

Kobe is a legend who won multiple championships and led by example on and off the court for kids around the world for generations. Burrow has one great year in college that no one outside this country even knows exist. Comparing the two is just stupid

If he had consensual sex with her...Why did he order a porno film and whack off right after she left.

Fact: Most rapist don't complete the act during the assault.

Let's say he had a history of past violence against women...whould that possibly change your mind.

But honestly...my heart breaks for his daughter, other children, and family. And the Lower Merion High School family.

Ironically, I did Sexual Assault Prevention programs there for 7 years. I called his 10th grade Health Teacher hoping the accusations in Colorado were NOT true.

After looking at what I believe to be the facts...I believe he was guilty in Colorado.

Regardless...why are the Mavs retiring his #? That's stupid.

Naw. People respect his work ethic, it was unmatched. Him dying unexpectedly will add to his legacy.

Ehhhhhh. I've beat off a few times after sex and I haven't raped anyone

Sometimes the sex is so wack that you can't finish.

I responded to another poster who made that comparison.

I don’t disagree with what you just said.
