Please be true; I've suffered long enough. How it took the Steelers three years to figure out what LSU, Maryland and NC State figured out in one year, is beyond me.

Tomlin is a moron for bringing him back in the first place. This was way overdue.

Being reported everywhere, you can believe this one.
I'm surprised they did it mid season, given the organizations history.

Ehhh, I was ok with what he was doing at LSU. It all worked out for the best eventually though.

Which OC will make Kenny Pickett good?

Pickett will be fine IMO. Either way, it’s way too early to give up on him.

85% of passing plays outside of the numbers, on second and long the Steelers call a run play nearly 90% of the time.
Pickett's progress, or lack thereof, is a serious issue, but someone can at least do him the favor of not telegraphing to the other team what the playcall will be.
If you watch breakdowns that ex-pros do on youtube, they show that you can tell type of play was coming from the personnel on the field. It's so extreme to the point that Najee Harris is averaging first contact two yards behind the line of scrimmage. There are three play types that the Steelers run with Najee in the lineup and the film shows which play is coming depending on the TE and WR personnel. Dan Orlovsky has done some breakdown of the offense as well, and it's not pretty.
Is it going to fix Pickett, probably not, but at least give the guy some help with the scheme.

Mike Tomlin's statement.

Jordan Addison made Pickett a lot money that he probably didn't deserve

Thank God!
My question is why did it take Tomlin this long? I know he felt a sense of loyalty to him b/c he gave his son a scholarship to play for him but this is business and it was obvious that it wasn't working.
Now we get to really see if the problem was Canada, or Pickett. I have strongly maintained that it's the former.

Completely fair w/salient points.
But that hasn't been allowed in the Pickett discussion, so prepare to be downvoted.b

I did not realize that the Steelers have been out-gained in all 10 games they’ve played this season. Says something about their defense that they’re 6-4, with a win over the Ravens.

You would think, but they are near the bottom of the league in defense. You could say that they are being handcuffed by a terrible offense, but the reality is they have been living on well timed turnovers and especially, red-zone turnovers. Getting W's from int's in the endzone and strip sacks on the 5 is not sustainable.
Hell, the first time they played the Browns they only won because of two defensive TD's, there aren't many games where you can replicate that. They have a good record, but have been on borrowed time for weeks.

Adam Schefter reported that this is the first time since 1941 the Steelers have made an in-season coaching change. That is an amazing stat
