the NBA is a league i lost interest in years ago.
no real good reason.. just didn't stick with me like some of the other major sports.

I hate the NBA but something cool that the NBA and NHL could both do is cut down on the number of regular season games that count for conference standings and replace those lost games with in season tournaments and challenge cups and the like.
I think of my kid's youth hockey season, and youth basketball is probably the same way, where they gave a league schedule but also play tournaments on weekends. Same concept. Or kind of like CBB Maui Challenge and tournaments like that.
Same number of games played in the end but winning in season tournaments adds some spice and meaning. Also chance for more corporate sponsors.
