I don't know what happened but they need to fire everyone in the football program from coaches on down, everyone in the building. Fire the entire board of regents also. Give the players a release if they so wish to transfer. Then start over from scratch.

I understand if you are getting jumped by multiple guys. But if you are one on one with someone, why can't you just fight it out like a real man and get on your way like they used to?. Why do people think it's a necessity to shoot or stab somebody if they get into a fight now?. If you can't handle getting your arse kicked, then don't get in a fight.

Well everyone in media is jumping on whistleblower reaction. Not the waiting for other side to come out. So it’s just like Incognito people just jumped the gun

I wonder if there is a pro-Durkin contingency on the team. The media obviously wouldn’t report on that if it were the case but if so that team is in a very dysfunctional situation.

This has the sniff of bullshite. I got into a fight in high school. Just as we were being pulled apart, I was grabbed before him and he got a clean shot at my face. It was just bad timing....I didn’t accuse anyone of holding me down.
My guess is the whistleblower was paranoid, and at the same time he was being dick enough to get his arse whipped by the other PUNTER!
Durkin should have been fired, but this kid may be taking advantage of the culture situation.

The article says that they had video of the fight and were investigating. Also, I'd like to point to Barber's (punter who got the worst of it) account.
